OPP Seek Public’s Assistance – Family Dog Poisoned

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is seeking the assistance of the public after investigating an incident at a Queen Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Thursday, November 13, 2014 at approximately 4:45 p.m., police were contacted by concerned homeowners after their family dog became extremely ill.

Through the course of investigation it has been determined that the family pet entered a vacant lot behind their residence on Monday, November 10, 2014 and ate from a plastic container containing animal bait made of substances to entice animals.

The family dog ate various chemical and food items which resulted in the animal sustaining a serious illness.

The OPP are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
