(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) – The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking the public for assistance regarding numerous mischief investigations that have occurred in recent weeks.
On July 14, 2014 mischief occurred to the flowers located in front of 841/2 Front Street.
On July 18, 2014 various garbage cans and flower pots were overturned and damaged on Front Street and it was reported that a group of people were entering vehicles on Ethel Street. Later that day it was reported that two vehicles parked on South Street had been entered and one vehicle parked on Queen Street was damaged.
On July 23, 2014 a report was made that the concrete benches located at the Town Beach were continually being pushed over and that this had been occurring for approximately three weeks. Police were also notified that day that the two signs on the CN bridge had been damaged.
Staff Sergeant Schmidt of the Sioux Lookout OPP states “As citizens if you notice something suspicious or observe people vandalizing property it is important to contact the police or Crime Stoppers as this information could assist in solving these crimes.â€Â
