(PETERBOROUGH, ON) – On Monday May 13, 2013, officers from the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a report of a missing person from a Hilliard Street address located in Selwyn Township. Lorraine ROACH, who was 58 years of age at the time of her disappearance, was last seen leaving her residence on May 11, 2013 at 1:30 a.m.
During the early morning hours of May 13, 2013, Ms. Roach’s van was located on Ackison Road, near the Trans Canada walking path. The Pontiac Montana was parked on the westbound, shoulder south of Lily Lake Road just west of the City of Peterborough. At that time it was snowing and cold.
In December 2014, the Province of Ontario offered a fifty thousand dollar ($50,000) reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Lorraine ROACH.
The investigation into the disappearance of Lorraine ROACH is continuing under the direction of Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
May 11, 2015, will mark the second anniversary of the disappearance of Lorraine ROACH. The OPP is confident that someone, out there, has that information that can solve this case and bring closure to her family. Something that may seem irrelevant could be a turning point for investigators.
