(Chantry, ON) – Officers of the Rideau Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing with an investigation that occurred in Rideau Lakes Township involving the finding of a deceased animal.
On the 29th of July 2014, Rideau Lakes OPP was called to a residence on Chantry Road as a report was received that a horse was located deceased in a field. The horse was found with a single gunshot wound to the head. The animal is described as a four year old Filly.
Leeds County OPP officers as well as members of the Leeds County Crime Unit are continuing with this investigation.
