OPP RESPOND TO SEVERAL WEATHER RELATED INCIDENTS

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – Yesterday, Environment Canada issued a wind warning advisory for Southern Ontario, warning the public of very strong and gusty winds, reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h; enough to cause tree damage and power outages.

Between 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24 and 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 15 weather related incidents. There were 8 reports of downed trees; 2 reports of flooding on roadways, and 5 reports of single motor vehicle collisions throughout Grey County OPP jurisdiction.

There were no injuries reported.

Grey County OPP remind motorists to be prepared to adjust their driving according to the changing road and weather conditions.
