(Smiths Falls,ON.) – On Sunday the 5th of January 2014, at around 11:15 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police in Rideau Lakes Township received a call regarding two suspicious males at the Hydro One compound on Eric Hutcheson Rd., north of the town of Smiths Falls.
Rideau Lakes O.P.P officers along with O.P.P Emergency Response Unit (ERT) and O.P.P Canine officer responded to the call.
Officers conducted an investigation of the scene and were able to locate a suspect van. Officers subsequently arrested the three occupants of the van.
Howard James DICKSON, 51 years old of Kitley Township has been charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Break in Instruments and Fail to comply with undertaking.
Trevor BEUTE, 47 years old of Tay Valley Township has been charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Break in Instruments and Breach of Recognizance.
Nancy MACLAREN, 48 years old of Tay Valley Township has been charged with Possession of Break in Instruments.
BEUTE was released at a bail hearing held on 8th of January 2014, he is to attend Brockville Court on 21st of February 2014.
DICKSON was held for a subsequent bail hearing on the 10th of February 2014.
MACLAREN was released on Promise to Appear at Brockville Court on the 21st of February 2014.
