(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment would like to return several bicycles to their rightful owner before they are sent to auction.
The OPP is currently in possession of several bicycles that have been turned in as being found. If any member of the public has a bicycle that has been recently stolen, and if you would like to see if one of the bicycles that police are currently in possession of may be yours?
You are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 519-426-3434 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. between Monday and Friday and ask to speak to the officer in charge of the property section.
All found bicycles will be held for a 90 day period and if no claim is made, they will be forwarded for auction.
The OPP want to remind all bicycle owners to record their make, model, and serial numbers in the event that their bicycle is stolen and recovered. This will greatly assist in positive identification, allowing the bicycle to be returned to the rightful owner.
