(Westport,ON) Ontario Provincial Police received 6 reports of unlocked vehicles being entered over the weekend in the Westport area.
On the 24th of November home owners in and around the village of Westport contacted O.P.P to report their vehicles being entered and ransacked, and loose change being taken.
The investigation revealed that the culprits entered the vehicles sometime overnight on the 24th of November, while the vehicles were parked in the homeowner driveways.
One homeowner reported having several hundred dollars taken from one of their vehicles.
The O.P.P request the public to lock their vehicles at all times when not attended to.
The O.P.P also ask the public to remove or put away any valuables that will remain in their vehilces.
The O.P.P. continue to investigate these thefts.
