(HALIBURTON, ON) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on September 27 2013 at approximately 9:50 pm at the intersection of Pine Avenue and Park Street in Haliburton, Dysart et al. Haliburton EMS arrived on scene to find a male party lying on Park Street after he had been thrown from an off road Honda motorcycle that he was operating. The 43 year old male from Highlands East was transported to Haliburton Hospital with serious injuries. The male was then relocated to a Toronto area hospital by air ambulance. Haliburton Highlands Officers are being assisted by OPP regional collision investigators to determine the cause of the collision. Charges have not been laid as of this time and witnesses are asked to contact the OPP.
