(WINCHESTER, ON) – On April 17, 2014 at approximately 8:20pm, officers of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of found remains on Steen Road near Thompson Road, near Winchester, ON.
The preliminary investigation has determined that the remains are human. The identity of the deceased and the cause of death will need to be determined. The remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Coroner, Oshawa, ON for a post mortem examination to be conducted on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
