(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision at a Highway 3, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, March 28, 2014 at approximately 9:33 a.m., Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Norfolk County Paramedics were dispatched to a Highway 3 address for a motor vehicle collision.
Through investigation it has been determined that a Toyota car was travelling westbound on Highway 3 and an Acura SUV was travelling eastbound when both vehicles collided.
The operator of the Toyota, a 54 year old male of Norfolk County was airlifted to a Hamilton area hospital with life threatening injuries.
The operator of the Acura SUV, a 50 year old female of London, Ontario was transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.
At approximately 12:52 p.m., the 54 year old male was subsequently pronounced deceased by the attending physicians.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is continuing.
