(Alfred-Plantagenet Township, ON)- On December 28, 2016, at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a home in the Hamlet of Wendover in relation to a medical distress call. A four (4) year old male child was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A post mortem is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Ottawa.
The Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit, the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Office of the Chief Coroner are continuing with the investigation. The investigation is in the preliminary stages and an update will be issued when accurate and confirmed information becomes available.
