OPP INVESTIGATING BREAK AND ENTER

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a Break and Enter at a Villa Nova Road, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, September 30, 2013 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., unknowns attended the residence and gained entry. Once inside, unknowns proceeded to remove jewellery consisting of women’s rings, earrings and necklaces. A men’s watch and a quantity of Canadian and American currency was also taken during the entry.

The OPP recognize that break and enters continue to remain an all-too common occurrence in Canada, with more than 200,000 reported to police annually of which 6 in 10 are residential. Another 30% are businesses and 10% are other locations such as sheds and detached garages.
