(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On March 2, 2014 at approximately 4:30am, officers of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) on County Road 2 near 4th Line Road, South Glengarry.
A passenger, Alex Miller, 21 of South Glengarry, was killed when he struck a pole while riding on the MSV. The driver, a 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested and held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Cornwall on Monday, March 3, 2014. He is facing charges of:
Impaired Operation Cause Death
Over 80 Cause Death and
Drive While Disqualified

This is the second alcohol related death on a MSV in the past 3 weeks.
On February 11, 2014, SDG OPP officers charged a 22-year-old South Stormont man for Impaired Cause Death, Over 80 Cause Death and Possession of a controlled Substance when the MSV he was driving lost control, ejecting both occupants. One male passenger, Daniel Andre, 21 of South Stormont died when he struck a tree.
