(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment after a body was located near the roadway at a Mississauga Road, Mississauga’s of the New Credit First Nation address.
On Sunday October 2, 2016 at approximately 4:30 a.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County Paramedics responded to Mississauga Road for a report of a body that was located near the roadway. Witnesses reported that the body appeared to be deceased.
OPP investigation, thus far, has determined that a male discovered the body as he was exiting a driveway on Mississauga Road and immediately called police.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit, in conjunction with Six Nations Police Service, are working at two scenes to determine what had happened.
The cause of death is not known at this time.
Road closures:
Mississauga Road between Ojibway Road and New Credit Road
New Credit Road between Mississauga Road and Second Line, and
Second Line between Onondaga Road and Chiefswood Road.

The identification of the deceased is not being released at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
