(ADJALA-TOSORONTIO, ON) – On September 9, 2014, at 2:15AM, officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a Break and Enter with Violence at a residence located on County Road 50 in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.
At approximately1:10AM, the victim was laying on the couch in the livingroom when 3 males wearing hoodies and faces covered entered the residence. Demands were made for money and property.
Detectives from the Nottawasaga – Barrie OPP Crime Unit commenced an investigation and have received assistance from the Central Region Forensic Indentication Unit (FISU).
As a result of a thorough investigation with assistance of Toronto Police Service , there have been two young persons who have been arrested in connection with this serious incident. Due to their ages and the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YJCA), their identities cannot be released.
A third male is also being sought in regards to this incident and a warrant for the arrest of 19-year old Stephen HUGHES of Toronto, ON has been issued. Most of the stolen property has been recovered by police.
