OPP INVESTIGATE REPORT OF SEXUAL ASSAULT IN ORILLIA

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Orillia Detachment Crime Unit is currently investigating the report of a sexual assault which occurred at a Dancy Drive residence in the City of Orillia.

On October 1, 2014 at approximately 5:04 p.m., Orillia OPP were dispatched to a Dancy Drive residence in relation to a sexual assault. The female victim was in her residence when an unknown male entered the residence and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, slim build, orange/blond hair and wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans and a ball cap. The suspect may have been driving a grey or silver car and was last seen driving toward Fittons Avenue West on Dancy Drive.

The Orillia OPP is requesting the assistance of any member of the public who may have been in the area of Dancy Drive between the hours of 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. and in particular, anyone who may have seen either the suspect or a grey or silver car as described above.

The Orillia OPP Crime Unit is still investigating this incident and is asking the public to come forward with any information that they feel may assist with the investigation.
