(Amaranth,ON) – At 6:29 pm September 12,2014 Dufferin OPP were dispatched to report of single motor vehicle into hydro pole on 2nd Line of Amaranth between 25th and 30th Side road.
OPP have closed this roadway and OPP Technical Traffic Investigators are en route to scene.
The male driver has been transported to Headwaters Health Centre with life threatening injuries.
2nd Line will be closed for several hours.
UPDATE: Police are now confirming that male driver in this incident has succumbed to his injuries and died. The drivers name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The 2nd Line remains closed.
2nd UPDATE: Dufferin OPP are now releasing the name of driver who died in this fatal collision. Jermaine Taylor,21 years of age from Orangeville was the lone occupant of the 2008 Toyota Yaris involved in this collision. Investigation is continuing.
