(PICKLE LAKE, ON) – On January 8, 2015 at approximately 7:30am (CST) officers with the Pickle Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a non-responsive male that had been located at a residence on Lakeview Crescent in Pickle Lake. Both police and ambulance attended the scene.
A 42-year-old male Pickle Lake resident was subsequently pronounced deceased by medical staff. His identity is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
A post mortem examination is scheduled to take place in Thunder Bay on January 9, 2015.
The Pickle Lake OPP and the OPP North West Region Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter LOREE of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
