OPP INVESTIGATE BREAK AND ENTER

(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – This morning, at approximately 10:00AM, officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break, enter and theft from a residence located in Hamilton Township where women’s undergarments were reportedly stolen.

From the investigation which followed, police have been able to determine that the incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 9:00AM and 1:30PM on Wednesday July 24, 2013.

Northumberland OPP officers have investigated two similar occurrences within the past month where similar items have been reported stolen.

Investigators are asking the public to contact the OPP if they have had or believe that they have been a victim of a break and enter where an item of women’s apparel was among the items taken.

The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times to always lock all windows and doors when leaving your residence. The OPP’s website, www.opp.ca contains a number of useful resources, tips and links.
