(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a marine related incident on the waters of Georgian Bay involving a 55 year old woman on August 1st, 2013.
At approximately 4:50 p.m., a boater was reported to have fallen out of their vessel. As a result, the lone occupant was fatality struck by their own boat. She was not wearing a life jacket or personal flotation device.
The matter is still under investigation.
