(RED LAKE, ON) – On Thursday September 12th at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a missing male who fell out of a boat while duck hunting on the English River near Ear Falls, Ontario.
Two males were out on the English River duck hunting in a boat on Wednesday evening when both males lost balance and fell into the water. One of the males was able to make it to shore and took shelter in the bush for the night. The male was able to flag down a group of fishermen and subsequently notified the Ear Falls OPP. The Ear Falls and Red Lake OPP Marine Units along with family members have been searching the area for the missing male.
As of Monday morning the Ear Falls and Red Lake OPP Marine units are continuing to search for the missing hunter with the assistance of an OPP Helicopter.
The investigation is continuing.
