OPP CHARGE UNLICENCED DRIVER

(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – The South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police has charged a 22 yr old driver with a number of traffic offences stemming from an incident on

October 20th, 2013, on Airport Road in Timmins.

While en route to his assigned patrol zone, an OPP officer had occasion to observe the driver of a passenger vehicle allegedly commit a traffic violation.

The driver was stopped and based on the standard verifications completed by the OPP officer, it was determined that the driver was currently unlicenced in Ontario.

As a result, Samuel RODDA, 22, of Timmins, has been charged with:

Drive a Motor Vehicle – No Licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Use Plates Not Authorized contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Operate Motor Vehicle – No Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The driver has been served with a Summons requiring him to attend Provincial Court on December 5th, 2013, to answer to the charges laid against him.
