(ORILLIA, ON) – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Rackets Branch, Health Fraud Investigation Unit have charged the pharmacist/owner of a Windsor pharmacy with Fraud and Breach of Trust. From 2009 to 2011, billings were submitted to the Ontario Drug Benefit Plan for drug products that were not dispensed.
Rocco D’ANGELO, aged 61 years, of Windsor, Ontario has been charged with one count of Fraud over $5,000 and Breach of Trust. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on December 2nd, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
The Anti-Rackets Health Fraud Investigation Unit is comprised of OPP investigators who investigate allegations of fraud relating to the Ontario Health Care System on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
