(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – Members with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Parry Sound Detachment, Parry Sound Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Services (EMS) were on the scene of a motor vehicle and pedestrian collision at James and Seguin Street in the Town of Parry Sound on Firday, October 11, 2013.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI) and an OPP Reconstructionist attended the scene and conducted an investigation into the collision.
Jill PATTERSON-SMITH (35) was injured and her two children Kaelen SMITH (7) and Ryder SMITH (21 months) were taken to the West Parry Sound Health Centre where both children were pronounced deceased.
As a result of the investigation, Kathryn J KOSOWAN (61) of Seguin Township is charged with Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is scheduled to appear in court on November 26, 2013.
