OPP AND WAL-MART LOSS PREVENTION OFFICERS WORK TOGETHER TO STOP SHOPLIFTING

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On October 4, 2013 shortly after 2 p.m., Wal-Mart Loss Prevention Officers conducted an arrest after observing a male place opened merchandise into his coat pocket and leaving the store.

The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene and took over the arrest.

Ryian Chevrette, 31 years of age from Parry Sound, was charged with the following:

Allegation of Breach of Conditional Sentence Order – 2 counts

Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 2 counts

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000

Theft under $5,000 – Shoplifting

The accused has been remanded into custody until he can answer to these charges.
