(RAMARA TWP.) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed Highway 12 in Ramara Township in both directions between Concession 1 and Highway 48 due to downed hydro wires.
North bound traffic is being diverted onto Highway 48 to Kirkfield Road and south bound traffic is being diverted onto County Road 47 to Kirkfield Road. South bound traffic on County Road 169 can take Monck Road to Kirkfield Road as an alternate route.
Hydro One is on scene and is estimating a repair time of 8-9 hours.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
