(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – At approximately 4:46 p.m., on October 11, 2016, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Middlesex Centre Fire Services, and the Middlesex London Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a motor vehicle collision on Carriage Road at Littlewood Drive.
A black BMW car travelling westbound on Littlewood Drive collided in the intersection with a black GMC pickup truck, which was travelling northbound on Carriage Road. Littlewood Drive is governed by stop signs.
The female driver of the car had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The four additional occupants of the car (one adult male, and three children) were transported by ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The female driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are attending the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Carriage Road is closed from Jones Drive to Littlechurch Drive, and Littlewood Drive is closed from Bells Road to Bodkin Road.
This incident is still under investigation.
