(SAUGEEN TWP, ON) – On October 30, 2016 at 5:17 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Bruce County Road 3 and Bruce County Road 40 in Saugeen Township. Officers attended with Bruce County Paramedics, Arran-Elderslie Fire Fighters and Saugeen Shores Police officers to find that a Grey Hyundai Accent and a Silver Subaru Forrester were involved in the collision.
Three people were injured. Two were transported to a local hospital for treatment, but the third was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this collision.
The road was closed at the crash scene for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.
The investigation is in its early stages.
