(PORT HOPE, ON) – On Tuesday July 3, 2018 at approximately 2:30 p.m. the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Northumberland EMS and the Port Hope Fire Department responded to a report of an industrial accident in the Municipality of Port Hope.
A preliminary investigation at the scene by the OPP has determined that construction company employees were working to repair a home when a partial collapse of the building resulted in a male sustaining serious injury.
The injured worker was flown to a Toronto area trauma centre by ORNGE Air Ambulance.
The investigation is in the early stages and an exact cause is unknown at this time.
