Most you already know how the Old Boys Club works. If you are
friends with North Huron decision makers, you get to suckle at the
taxpayer’s teat along with them, jacking up the tax rate and making
the town wither. The Wingham Police are a prime example.
Everyone knows they pale in comparison to the OPP for costs,
response time and equipment, but the Old Boys Club forces the
taxpayers to pay 2X more for policing than they need to. You
should ask yourself why they do this, and who benefits, because it
certainly isn’t the taxpayers. <a
