Officer involved in three car collision

On October 7, 2013 at 6:59 p.m., the Guelph Police attended for a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Stone Road East and South Ring Road. One of the drivers involved in the collision was an on duty Guelph Police officer who was operating a marked uniform cruiser. There were a total of six people occupying the three vehicles involved in the collision, none of which reported any injuries. All three vehicles sustained damage as a result of the collision. The officer, an eleven year veteran of the Guelph Police Service, has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
