Officer-Involved Collision

On Sunday, July 13, 2014 emergency responders were called to the intersection of Queens Avenue and Colborne Street at approximately 3:15 p.m., where a vehicle collided into the back end of a police cruiser.

The 14-year police officer and the other driver were transported to the hospital and have both since been discharged.

As a result of the investigation, 56-year-old Frank Kutyma of London, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug cause bodily harm, contrary to section 255(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada. He has been released from custody and has a court date of August 7, 2014.
