Police were called to a rooming house on Sylvia Street for an assault that had just occurred. On arrival police learned that a female attended another room in the house, forced open the door and began assaulting a female resident inside. The incident stemmed from comments made on a social media site that the suspect took offence to.
The suspect’s boyfriend was with her and prevented the victim’s boyfriend from stopping the assault.
A 21 year old female was arrested and charged with Break and enter to commit assault and failing to comply with probation. Her 26 year old boyfriend was also arrested for Break and enter to commit assault.
Both were held for a bail hearing.
