(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Investigators with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North West Region Crime Unit and Professional Standards Bureau have charged an OPP officer with three criminal offences as a result of an investigation that was commenced on January 23, 2017. The alleged offences occurred January 18, 2017 while the officer was not on duty.
As a result of the investigation Provincial Constable Steve TETREAULT, a twenty-eight year member of the OPP currently assigned to the Kenora OPP Detachment was arrested on January 24, 2017 and
charged with:
Aggravated Assault
Utter Threats
Breach of Recognizance
The accused who is currently on leave was held in custody for a bail hearing in Kenora on January 25, 2017.
