(INNERKIP, ON) – On May 31, 2015, at 3:44 p.m., a member of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was involved in a minor collision on Blandford Street in Innerkip.
Investigation into the collision revealed that the officer was reversing her cruiser out of a private drive onto Blandford Street when she struck a parked vehicle parked on the other side of the roadway. The officer was uninjured and there was minor damage to both vehicles.
The owner of the vehicle struck was notified of the incident.
As a result of the collision investigation, Provincial Constable Nancy PHILLIPS a six year member of the Oxford County OPP has been charged with Start From Stopped Position – Not In Safety, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
