On April 5th a Barrie Police officer conducted a routine traffic stop for a seatbelt violation on Peel St. As the officer spoke with the vehicle occupants, it became apparent that one of the people was lying about his name. Police were able to identify that male through his tattoos and learned that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. A 20 year old Montreal male was charged with obstruct police and arrested on outstanding warrants. He was held pending a bail hearing.
