(KINCARDINE, ON) – On September 18, 2016 at 6:02 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Harbour Street in Kincardine stopped a Silver Nissan Murano. The officer found that the driver didn’t have a licence and the vehicle licence plates were improper. The male ran from police, he was arrested without incident following a short foot chase. A quantity of illicit street drugs and stolen property were found in the vehicle.
Twenty-nine-year old Russell GRAY of Carrick Township was charged with 3 counts of possess controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, 3 counts of possess property obtained by crime, drive while disqualified, take motor vehicle without consent, obstruct peace officer, drive vehicle with no validated permit, use unauthorized plates and fail to have insurance card. He was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing scheduled for September 19, 2016.
