(Peterborough County, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been called to numerous residential break and enter calls throughout the County of Peterborough this week.
(Douro-Dummer Township) – Suspect(s) entered a County Road 4 residence around the noon hour on Monday. The entire home was ransacked by thieves. The home owners do not feel there is anything missing at this time.
(Municipality of Trent Lakes) – Suspect(s) entered a residence on Lakehurst Road during the daytime on Tuesday while the homeowner was at work. Cash and jewelry were taken from the home.
(Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township) – Suspect(s) entered a residence on Miles of Memories Road sometime since January. The homeowners reside part time in Florida and arrived home to discover the entry. Missing from the home was a television, a guitar and various antiquities.
The OPP utilized the Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCO) and their Forensic Identification Unit (FIS) to process the various scenes and examine fingerprints and footwear impressions left by suspects.
The OPP reminds residents to be vigilant and report suspicious activities in their communities to police.
