At last night’s budget meeting a councillor blasted the Public for not volunteering enough in our Community. The councillor also suggested the Public needs to step up and give North Huron more money voluntarily so services and buildings can be saved. It seems paying Ontario’s highest tax rate isn’t enough, and 120+ town staff just isn’t enough either.
They need about 4 million for the museum, millions more to finish Town Hall, more millions for Howson Dam. They want the Public to do fundraisers and donate all that money. Why? Because council forgot to make department heads do their jobs so our Town has rotted, at least since neil vincent has been at the helm.
Council demands the Public to work for free while giving massive raises to town staff. The reality is the Public wouldn’t need to volunteer if all 120+ town staff did the jobs they were paid to do.
