(SUDBURY, ON)- On June 22, 2016, at approximately 5:10 p.m., members from the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Highway 17, in the town of Wahnapitae, in the City of Greater Sudbury.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the vehicle being operated by the male driver had no insurance.
Normand CHRETIEN, 46 years of age, from Wahnapitae, was charged with the following:
Operate motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
Drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate, contrary to section 7(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on July 4, 2016.
