A short time later OPP located a vehicle, matching the description of the suspect vehicle, parked on the paved shoulder of 402 Highway. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested and transported for breath testing which resulted in readings over three times the legal limit.
52-year-old Norman J. SCHEIDING of St. Clair Township, ON was charged for:
Care and Control While Impaired
Care and Control Over 80 mgs
The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday August 17, 2015.
The OPP rely on the public to report crime and impaired driving is a crime that should be treated no differently. If you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1 and report it. If you see that someone is impaired by alcohol or other drugs and intends on driving, strongly discourage them from driving and call 9-1-1 if they insist.
