No Insurance

A 32 year old Barrie man was driving a motor vehicle on Fairview Road when an officer spotted his expired licence plate. The officer stopped the vehicle investigated the vehicle ownership and insurance. Both were expired. He was charged accordingly and given a future court date. The minimum fine for an owner operating a vehicle without insurance is $5000. Police remind citizens to ensure they have vehicle insurance and carry a valid insurance card when operating a vehicle.
