(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) detachment responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 35, just north of Lindsay on Saturday December 5, 2015.
At approximately 5:30 pm an off-duty OPP officer was able to safely stop a driver who had been travelling southbound in the northbound lane without her headlights on. Numerous vehicles had pulled to the shoulder in order to avoid a collision.
Charged with Careless Driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act is 92 year old Florence LAURINAUICIUS of Lindsay.
