(Belleville, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit along with the Belleville Police Service have charged a Belleville man following a year-long on-line child pornography investigation.
On July 22, 2015 police from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Technological Crime Unit and the Belleville Police Service executed a search warrant at a Belleville residence. As a result of this investigation, 4 computer devices and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized. Some of the items seized contained images of child sexual abuse.
Nicholas P WHITE age 66 years, of Belleville Ontario is charged with:
Make Available Child Pornography – one count
Possession of Child Pornography – two counts
Accessing Child Pornography – one count
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing today, July 23rd, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
