Nicholas DE SOUZA – Drunk Driving

(PEMBROKE, ON) – In the early morning hours of September 8, 2015 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a driving complaint regarding a Chevrolet sedan on Highway 17. Police located the vehicle on Highway 17 in Laurentian Valley Township and conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle after it turned onto B Line Road. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and as a result 23 year old Nicholas DE SOUZA of Laurentian Valley Township was charged with Driving with More than 80mgs of Alcohol in his Blood contrary to the Criminal Code.

DE SOUZA’s license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. A quantity of alcohol was also seized from the vehicle. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear on October 20, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
