(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 27-year-old male after police were called to a Turkey Point Road, Turkey Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, May 29, 2016, at approximately 3:35 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident reporting an incident.
Officers attending the area observed a motor vehicle that was stopped on the side of Turkey Point Road. The officer drove towards the vehicle to investigate at which time two passengers fled from the area. The driver and vehicle was stopped and investigated.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 27-year-old Nelson Manuel VARGAS of Oakville, Ontario with driving while ability impaired, fail or refuse to provide sample and two (2) counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
