(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On January 25, 2017, at approximately 12:27 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle on Vanneck Road, near Egremont Drive.
Officers determined that the 18-year-old male driver of the grey Honda car had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a police station for breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Nathan FREWEN, from London, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (drug), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was further charged with possession of a schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on March 7, 2017.
