On Wednesday August 14th, 2013 at approximately 5:15 pm a grey 2003 Pontiac car being operated by 21 year old Stephanie TIERSMA of Haldimand County, ON was travelling eastbound on North Cayuga Concession Road #1 and as it entered into the intersection of County Road #32 it was struck by a northbound black 2005 Pontiac car being operated by 25 year old Danielle ZIMMERMAN of Haldimand County, ON.
The impact of the collision caused severe damage to both vehicles.
Ms. Zimmerman sustained non – life threatening injuries and was transported to Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville after receiving emergency medical treatment at the scene by Haldimand County Paramedics. Haldimand County Fire Department was on scene to assist with the collision.
As a result of the investigation 21 year old Stephanie Tiersma of Haldimand County, ON has been charged with Fail to Stop for Stop Sign contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
