On April 25, 2014, at approximately 3:56 pm a collision occurred between a blue Honda car and a pedestrian at Regina Street North and Hickory Street East in Waterloo. A 54 year old Waterloo man was driving a blue Honda on Hickory Street East in Waterloo. He made a left turn onto Regina Street North and struck a 56 year old Waterloo man who was crossing Regina Street. The pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The driver of the Honda was not injured in the collision. Regina Street North was closed for about 90 minutes as members of the Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Services Branch investigated. A charge of Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian was laid against the driver. Neither speed nor alcohol where factors in this collision.
